The results are in and the good walk isn’t spoiled, but it’s farther than we thought. There has been a lot of speculation over the years about how many miles are walked during a round of golf played without using a golf cart. Years ago the estimate was 3 to 5 miles. Certainly the number varies depending the the course and golfing ability but anyone who walks a golf course knew it was farther than that.
With all of the new GPS and fitness trackers this mystery and finally been solved. During an average 18 hole round a golfer might walk as much as 8 miles or more. Average is around 6 miles. So, while hitting it straight and true is blissful experience you can still enjoy those days when you don’t have your “A” game knowing your burning more calories.
